5. Advertising and Tracking

5.1 App Tracking Transparency

Your Choice Matters: When you first launch SSmanager, you'll see a permission request asking if you want to allow tracking for personalized ads. You are in complete control.

5.2 Free Version - Advertising

The free version displays ads via Google AdMob. Your choice determines what data we collect:

If You Choose "Allow" (Personalized Ads):

• We collect your Device ID (IDFA) for ad targeting
• We collect Advertising Data about your ad interactions
• Ads are personalized based on your interests and activity
• Potentially higher ad revenue helps us maintain the free version
• Ads are shown at the bottom of screens

If You Choose "Ask App Not to Track" (Non-Personalized Ads):

• We do NOT collect your Device ID or Advertising Data
• Ads are shown but NOT personalized to you
• Ads are contextual only (based on app content, not your behavior)
• Your privacy is maximized while keeping the app free
• Ads are shown at the bottom of screens

Third-Party Ad Provider:

• Google AdMob serves all advertisements
• AdMob's data practices depend on your tracking choice

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Control

• Find "SSmanager" in the list
• Toggle tracking permission on or off

6.4 Premium Upgrade

Remove all ads and tracking:

• Upgrade to Premium for £3.99 (one-time purchase)
• Completely removes ads and all ad-related tracking
• Available in the Profile section of the app

6.5 Account Deletion

To delete your account:

• We will permanently delete your account and associated data
• This action cannot be undone

7. Children's Privacy

SSmanager is designed for use by adults (teachers, administrators, and parents) to manage Sunday School programs. While the app stores information about children (students), it is not directed at children under 13.

Important:

• Only adults should create accounts and use the app
• Adults are responsible for the student data they enter
• We do not knowingly collect information directly from children
• Parents have the right to request deletion of their child's information
• Tracking and advertising (if enabled) are not directed at children

8. International Users

SSmanager uses Firebase, which stores data in Google's global infrastructure:

• Your data may be stored in data centers outside your country
• Google complies with international data protection laws (GDPR, etc.)
• Data transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards

9. Data Retention

We retain your data:

• Active Accounts: As long as your account is active
• Deleted Accounts: Permanently deleted within 30 days
• Backups: May persist in backups for up to 90 days
